Todd Haller and Neil McCully both had pins in Thursday’s 62-6 O-K Blue Conference victory for Belding over Grand Rapids Creston at Redskin Arena and improved Belding’s record to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the league.

McCully pinned Jovone Cohen-Reed in 3:04 at 189 pounds, while it took Haller 50 seconds to do the trick against Mario Roberts at 215 pounds.

Haller is 7-0 with all seven victories being by pin.

Also for Belding Thursday night, Gage Johnson at 130 pounds started the evening with a come-from-behind 10-9 win over Boris Vail. Michael Walker at 152 pounds netted a 21-5 technical fall over Ricardo Vail and Blake Rodarmer at 160 pinned Eddie Garcia in 4:58.

Winning for Belding by forfeit were Michael Hunter at 103, Nate Cooley at 119, Jesse Scheidel at 125, Devin Bailey at 135, Brady Phelps at 140 and Dakota Foster at 145. “It’s sometimes tough to go out there when you only have six matches to focus on,” said Belding coach Travis Meyer. “I think the kids did a good job going on the mat and taking care of business.”
