Competitive cheer teams from the area gave it their best on March 2 in the state finals at the Delta Plex in Grand Rapids.
DIVISION I
Southgate Anderson was first with 780.36 points while Hartland was second with 778.48.
DIVISION 2
Mount Pleasant was third in Division 2 with 762.08 points, while DeWitt was fifth with 749.02. Gibraltar Carlson finished first with 782.48 points.
Alicia Rudoni was in her second year of coaching for Mount Pleasant.

Ovid-Elsie was fifth and Lakewood eighth in the Division 3 meet. Richmond won it with 768.64 points.
It was Katie Calverly’s first year coaching the Ovid-Elsie squad.
