Chippewa Hills opens the season Thursday night at Central Montcalm with hopes of improving on a 7-4 record from a year ago.

Coach Larry Jose lost a solid player like Trent Karcher but should still be solid.

They have fine players back like Zach Biller, Matt Dietz, Marcus Guerrero and Andrew Whaley.

“We’re strong on the line and we’re strong at running back this year,” Jose said.
