Big Rapids Crossroads was able to post a 2-1 district soccer victory on Monday despite being without their coach, Ross Meads.

Meads said accidentally did not participate in a fall online rules meeting September, which makes him ineligible to coach for the entire postseason as a coach.

But Crossroads still posted the victory. Pentwater scored first but then David Hunt scored for the Cougars to give them a 1-1 game at halftime. Tallak Brekke scored just three minutes into the second half which would be the winning goal for the host team.

Josh Yurick will be coaching the Crossroads team for the rest of the season.
