Big Rapids Crossroads has earned its first boys district soccer title since 2008 with a 3-2 double overtime victory over Hart on Friday at homeHart took a 1-0 lead into halftime, but Caleb Bennett scored early in the second half. Tallack Brekke scored for Crossroads for a  2-1 lead. Hart tied it up with  2:05 left in regulation.

But Crossroads prevailed when Bennett scored with 5:15 to in the second overtime.

Crossroads had a 19-9 shots advantage.

Last season in the district finals, Hart won 7-0.

It’s the third district title in Crossroads soccer history.

Crossroads is 20-3 and will play Bellaire at West Michigan Christian.
