Central Montcalm couldn’t quite stand up with Reed City on Friday night and suffered a 48-14 setback to the Coyotes in Central State Activities Association action.

Keegan James led the Central Montcalm offense with 145 yards on 21 carries. James, the son of coach Marty James, who said the Green Hornets didn’t quite match up to the Coyotes in terms of physical play or speed.

The Hornets fell to 3-5 overall and 3-5 in the league.

 

Reed City built a 48-0 lead at one stage. The Hornets scored with 7:04 left in the game when James recovered his own fumble in the end zone He also scored with 57.8 seconds left in the game.
