Lowell’s football team survived a major scare Friday night with a 35-34 double overtime victory over Grand Rapids Christian. The Red Arrows are  8-0 overall.

Kanon Dean scored for Lowell from 12 yards out to tie the game at 21-21 late in regulation.

Kyler Shurlow passed to Benjamin Bigham for a touchdown in the first overtime. Dean had a four-yard run in the second overtime and when Grand Rapids Christian failed to make the two-point conversion, Lowell sealed the victory.

Shurlow passed for 318 yards.

Lowell has sole possession of first place in the O-K White at 4-0.

 

Bigham caught eight passes for 132 yards.
