Midland opened a 7-0 lead after the first quarter, 27-0 at halftime and 37-0 after the third quarter en route to a 37-6 victory over Bay City Western on Friday night.
Midland’s defensive effort was led by Michael Alexander with 12 tackles, followed by Colin Colsten and Matt McNerney with seven apiece.
Midland is 7-1 while Western fell to 2-6.
Tanner Gross was 13-of-14 for 194 yards. Austin Irrer had six pass catches for 85 yards in receptions. Will Williams ran for 109 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns. Gross had four rushes for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Phillip Wandor had a field goal and four extra points.
