Season Accolades: She finished third at the Grand Rapids Cougar Invitational September 21 in 19:11. She won the Michigan State Invitational Bronze Division in 18:10 on September 14. She finished first in the Central State Activities Association jamboree at Lakeview in 19:45.97.
Accomplishments: She was seventh in the Division 2 state finals last year in 18:14.2. She finished ninth in the 2011 finals in 18:29.2. As a freshman, O’Neil was third in 17:47.8.
GPA: 3.833.
Future: O’Neil is being recruited by Big Ten and other Division I schools but has yet to make a decision.
The Mike Alexander File
Midland High School
Sport: Football / LB / FB
Season Accolades: Alexander has helped the Midland football team to a 4-0 record this season, sitting atop the Saginaw Valley League North Division. In the Chemics season opener against Traverse City West, Alexander made nine tackles and added an interception.
Accompliahments: After playing football through his 10th grade season in Missouri, Alexander made a successful transtion to Midland last season and leads the Chemics defense once again this season.
GPA: 3.3
Future: Alexander has his sights on making the move to the next level next season.
