Midland has finished the football regular season at 8-1 and has entered the Division 2 playoffs and will host Marquette, 5-3, from the Upper Peninsula this week in a Region 1 predistrict game. Midland has the highest point total in its district and would also entertain either Midland Dow or Fenton in the district finals next week.

There’s an outside chance Midland could also host the regional finals the third week of the playoffs although Midland does not have the highest point total in the region. Midland is hoping to advance to the semifinals and play in the title game Nov. 29 at Ford Field.
