Rockford ended the regular season at 8-1 and will start its bid for a state title with the predistrict round this week against Traverse City West, 5-4.

Rockford is in Region 1, District 1, and has the most points of anyone in the region, meaning the Rams could host a game the first three weeks of the playoffs if they continue to win.

If the Rams defeat TC West, they’ll be at home the second weekend in November against the winner of the East Kentwood at Hudsonville predistrict game for the district title.

Flint Carman Ainsworth is the highest seeded team in the other regional district.
