Essexville Garber hopes to get a shot at Saginaw Swan Valley in the second round of the playoffs. But the Dukes will have to get past North Branch first in a predistrict game this week. Essexville-Garber at 7-2 will have a first-round playoff game this week against North Branch. The winner faces the Yale at Swan Valley game in the district finals. Swan Valley is the No. 1 seed and would host Essexville-Garber in the districts if those two teams would win.
The regionals are Nov. 15-16 and the semifinals Nov. 23. The state finals are Nov. 30 for Division 3 at Ford Field.
