It’s going to be a long trip for Ionia this week when the Bulldogs take on Sault Ste. Marie in a first-round Division 3 playoff game in Region 1, District 1.
The Bulldogs have a 7-2 record, which is better than the Soo’s mark of 6-3. But Sault Ste. Marie garnered the No. 2 seed of the district with a computer rating of 65.103and gets to host Ionia with a ranking of 64.667.
The survivor of this game will face either Sparta or Mount Pleasant in the district finals. If Mount Pleasant wins, the district title game will be in Mount Pleasant, if Sparta wins, Ionia would host if it defeats Sault Ste. Marie in the predistrict.
