Portland wound up the regular season 7-1 which qualifies the Raiders for the playoffs and gives them a chance to go after their second straight Division 5 state title. Portland was 5-0 in the playoffs a year ago for the title and will have to do the same again. But the Raiders do have the No. 1 seed in its district and will be at home this week for a first-round game against Grand Rapids West Catholic, which is 5-4. If Portland wins, it would play either Lansing Catholic or Ovid Elsie in a district title game next week. The regionals are Nov. 15 and 16. The semifinals are Nov. 23 and the Division 4 state finals are Nov. 30 at Ford Field in Detroit.
