Ithaca, with a 42-7 win Friday, is three wins away from its fourth straight perfect 14-0 season.

Ithaca is 11-0 this season and has won 53 straight games.

The Yellowjackets were at home Friday night in the district finals, against Maple City Glen Lake, which tied Ithaca 7-7 after the first quarter. It was 14-7, Ithaca, at halftime.

The hosts outscored Glen Lake 21-0 in the third quarter to put the game away. Travis Smith was 21-of-27 for 261 yards and two touchdowns Logan Hessbrook caught seven passes for 103 yards, Eli Villalobos had six catches for 83 yards and Josh Hafner five receptions for 59 yards. Bryan Shaw had a strong day of rushing with 103 yards on 13 attempts.

Jonah Loomis had 11 tackles for the Ithaca defense while Jace Demenov added 10 tackles.

 

Ithaca plays Negaunee, 10-1, from the Upper Peninsula in the regional finals this coming weekend.
