Haslett for the third straight season has won a Class A district volleyball title. Last week on Saturday, coach Wendy McCann’s Haslett team was at East Lansing and defeated Okemos in the finals 25-12 25-11, 25-19.
Senor Maria Kronner and sophomore Molly Cummins-Freund led the champions in blocking while junior Makenna Ott had a strong day in hitting and tipping. Courtney Brassington was among the lead servers for Haslett.
McCann is a former standout volleyball player at Ferris State University.
Haslett will now play in the regional semifinals this week against Ann Arbor Huron.
