Dow high went 16-0 today battling Gibraltar Carlson and Bay City Western. Due to Covid and court restrictions, the usual quad was replaced with a three team round robin. (I believe GC beat BCW but do not have scores) Dow next plays in Grand Rapids at Forest Hills Central on Friday, weather providing.
Coach Terry Schwartzkopf: “This was a nice step in our process today. Though it was hot and miserable, these guys were able to stay focused and intense in their matches. We were able to work on some aspects of our games and especially the mental focus. It was a good day.”
Dow is now 3-0-1 on the year.
Against Gilbrater, Jaoco Argibay, Tom Wood, Gavin Killmaster and Aaron Li won in singles. Doibles winners were Caleb Qiu and Zakey El-Nachef; Thomas Ladwein and Logan Yu; Aiden Tanis and Bobo Qiu; and Marshall mcGaugh and Roofy Elsaadany.
They also won against Bay City Western.
