Comments The Redwings jumped out to a 10 – 0 in the 1st quarter. Mason then went on a 5 – 1 run to cut the Redwing lead to 11-5 late in the first quarter. St. Johns led by 7, 14 – 7, going into the 2nd quarter. Mason kept the game close and trailed 18 – 12 mid-way through the 2nd quarter. The Redwings went on a 5 – 2 run to build a 23 -14 lead and then finished the half with 3 straight 3 point baskets from Rachel Rustad to take a 32 – 14 lead into half time. Mason came out after half time and outscored the Redwings 10 – 4 and cut the lead to 12, 36 – 24 in the 3rd quarter. St. Johns finished the 3rd quarter on a 12 – 3 run of their own to go back up by 21, 48 – 27, going into the final quarter. Mason made one final run but could get no closer than 16 as the Redwings went on to victory.
