Matt Bauer: Key Moment – I was impressed with Laingsburg’s team tonight. They play really hard defensively and have some good ball players. This is another contest that makes us more battle tested. After a shaky start, we did a better job against their press. Nolan Finkbeiner handled the ball well, made some nice dishes and got us into our offense. He and Brayden Green also did a bulk of our scoring tonight. Make no mistake though, this game was won on the defensive end and two of the stars of the game were Jacob Shelagowski and Max Dinninger. After Zach Hawes scored an early 9 points in the first quarter, Shelagowski and Dinninger took turns guarding him and held him to just 3 more points for the game. That was outstanding because that kid is a collegiate caliber player. He’s as talented as anyone we’ve played against this season.
