Lowell coach Tim Koert:
Thursday’s event at Egypt Valley was a tough event, but we fought to keep us in 4th place of the 8 teams.  The Lowell Boys Team continues to learn and improve.  The OK White is a tough conference and we are challenged by playing the tips in our events.  We can attribute our scoring from our short game, as we save strokes, and work hard at in practice.

Lowell shot 176, and was led by William DeVoest as he shot 40.  Brad VandenHout shot 41, and was aided by an eagle with an iron in from 140 out !!   Our other two scores we counted were Drew Veldman with 45 and Mason Thomas at 50.  Cam Sluss and Ty Knottnerus added 54’s.

The Conference leader, FHN, who defends two state titles in a row, continues to pace the conference as they shot 163.  EGR who is 2nd in the conference, shot 168.  G.R. Christian shot 4 better than Lowell with a 172.   FHC shot 179, and finished 5th behind us, and Northview shot 181.

Our schedule gets busier and even more meaningful the rest of the way through May.  These events will help the Lowell Boys contend in the Regionals in Muskegon in early June.
