FREELAND – The Millington Cardinal volleyball team went 2-1 at the Freeland Quad on Tuesday evening. Millington lost to Freeland in two sets 25-15 and 15-7. They turned things around later in the night defeating both Breckenridge and Tawas. The Cardinals beat Breckenridge 2-1 by the scores of 22-25, 25-21, and 15-9. They then defeated Tawas in two sets by the scores of 25-12 and 25-16.

Emily Martin led the way with 17 assists, six kills, and four aces.

Haley Cain had 11 kills, while Kenzie Trato added 10, and Lillia Sherman had five.

Dylan Holmes had six digs and five kills.

Emma Dickie had eight assists and Karsyn Payne had seven digs.

Millington (5-2-1) will return to action today, September 8 when they host conference foe Bullock Creek, Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
